Viral Video Marketing Made Simple with VideoN5

Have you put off video marketing because you thought it was too difficult? I want to tell you that it’s really not that difficult. All you have to do is make a decision to do it. You can use your cell phone to shoot a simple video and upload it to a free YouTube account so there really is not an excuse for not doing anything at all.

What can help however is having a system and I want to share with you a new system that is launching today called VideoN5. This video marketing platform was created to take all of the hassles out of video marketing, and give you the opportunity to make your videos go viral through sharing tools such as email marketing and social media. The idea is that with this software, you can create a video marketing campaign in 5 simple steps (hence the name, Video in 5.)

Today is the official VideoN5 launch party and I will be attending the kickoff event shortly (starts at 5:30PM, AZ time.) I am proud to be a sponsor of the event and excited to be an affiliate partner with VideoN5 as I know this is a much needed solution for small business owners.

Since today is the launch, you can check out the software for just $1.96 for the first month and then $39.95 per month after that (you need to use promo code: J6WZ7T2.) After the launch tonight the price will go up, so even if you are just thinking about using this software, I would register; you will be glad you did. Visit http://www.videon5.com/ to get started and use PROMO CODE J6WZ7T2 to get the introductory pricing.

How to Succeed Online by Giving it All Away – Fueled Friday

Well, it has been a very busy week which is why this weeks Fueled Friday is late. First, I launched a new Internet Marketing Firm this week (more to come on that later), and second, I attend InfusionCon which was AMAZING (more on that later as well).

So what I want to share with you today is the power of educating your prospects. Many people in the consulting field often ask the question “how much information should I give my web prospects?” My answer – Give them everything! This, of course, is within reason, but the bottom line is that if your prospect can figure out how to do what you do, they will. If the information is out there to be found, wouldn’t you rather have them find it from you? This was if they get stuck or have a questions, chances are they will look to you for help as opposed to someone else. Also, most people don’t want to become their own consultant (many have to due to sheer financial constraints), so your job will be to sell them on the benefits of having you do it for them so they can focus on making money in their business.

If you do sell a physical product, you still have an opportunity to educated your customers. Offering white papers, ebooks, and testimonials as to how your product can be used and how it has helped others will go a long way to helping boost sales. For those that don’t buy on the same day they visit, there is a high chance that they will return if they like what they read.

The big in giving it all away, is doing it in exchange for your prospects contact information. At a minimum, you want to collect their first name and email address to be able to send personalized emails. The more you follow up, the higher your chances of selling to them.

Years ago, I used to fear giving away information on how to do your own online marketing for fear that I would lose customers. Instead, because I write and blog on all topics related to online marketing, I have a fairly consistent flow of referral business.

Do you have any success stories to share about a successful follow up email campaign? If so, we’d love to hear. Next week I will be discussing the mechanics of how to set up these information sharing campaigns so stay tuned.

Have a great weekend and enjoy my birthday tomorrow :-)

Fueled Friday – Using Multiple Online Marketing Strategies

Today, I want to discuss the various types on online marketing strategies that you can use as an intro to the upcoming blog posts on the mechanics of each.

For many, the term online marketing brings to mind a host of different thoughts. Some immediately think of search engine optimization, others may think of paid search, and yet others may think of email marketing, blogging, or social media strategies. The fact remains, that they are all components of online marketing, and frankly should all be employed at some level. Some strategies will come more naturally to you, and others will seem to give you better results. Over the next several posts, I will cover each, but today, I will leave you with a simple list of online marketing strategies to consider. To get a head start on this series of posts, I recommend doing a search on this blog to see what you can find on the topic as well as a Google search to learn more about whichever segment of online marketing you are seeking to learn more about.

Here is my list of the various online marketing strategies that you can employ. If you feel something is missing, let me know my leaving a comment below:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): This involves architecting your website to obtain natural rankings in the search engines. It is the most effective form of online marketing, and takes the most time to see results.

Paid Search / Pay Per Click (PPC) Search: This involves paying for each visitor that comes to your website. The upside is that you will see results immediately; the down side is that you can lose lots of money if you do this wrong.

– Blogging: You will learn several reasons why blogging is a highly effective form on online marketing. It is one of my favorite and I cannot wait to share more on this. You can also implement blogging without spending a penny, which make it a great option for those with limited budgets.

Email Marketing: There are two aspect of email marketing that I will share. The first is the most effective and involves emailing your clients and prospect. The second and less recommended form of email marketing it purchasing email lists (NOT spam lists) and marketing to cold prospects.

Viral Marketing: This is a form of marketing where you share valuable information for free (from your website) and allow others to share it for free. It is a great way to get the word out about your product, service, or business.

Social Media Marketing: Everyone is talking about Social Media these days, and it’s a great way to build a following for your brand and reach lots of prospects in a short period of time. Sadly, most don’t really understand how to implement it effectively.

Text / Mobile Marketing: As the name implies, this is a method of reaching people via cell phones and smart devices. It is a growing field that you should not ignore.

Affiliate Marketing: This is a powerful way to empower others to send you business. Of course, you will pay them for their successful referrals, but it essentially puts a commissioned sales force to work for you.

Online Press / Media Relations: This is an area that many businesses neglect and it can produce amazing results.

Online Advertising: This is closely related to PPC, yet it deserves its own category. I would recommend this only as a last resort or a supplement to a multi-channel online marketing program.

Local Search Marketing: Reaching your local audience is critical if you are a local business, but even if you are a national business you don’t want to neglect customers in your own backyard.

Well, I am sure that gives you lots to consider. Please take the time to do some research on any of these that are not familiar with you. This way, when we reach this part in the series, it won’t be totally new to you and you will be able to ask some great questions to help you implement or optimize a specific strategy.

I am off to Louisville, KY today where I hear it will be cold, so keep sending me warm thoughts. :-)

Have a great weekend!

8 Ways to Use The Number One Internet Marketing skill

So what is the number one Internet Marketing skill? Writing. Why is writing is so important to Internet Marketing? Primarily it’s because search engines crave written content. It’s no secret; we’ve all heard that content is king, but it’s not limited to content on your website. Here are some of the ways you can write your way to Internet Marketing success:

1. Optimizing Web Copy. Always a great starting point and copywriting is also a valuable and marketable skill.

2. Blogging.
Create lots of content on the fly and as often as you like. An extra bonus is having it promoted in Social Media circles.

3. Writing Articles.
Article marketing still has lots of pull and when done right, helps in the link building process.

4. Writing Press Releases. Similar to articles, a well distributed press release can provide inbound links, but done well, press release can lead to interviews and other opportunities for exposure.

5. Viral Marketing.
Have you written an ebook yet? If not, I challenge you to make it a priority to get writing. I have written several ebooks for several markets and for the most part they have done well for me. They are key to helping you build an email list to market your product or service to.

6. Publish a book. How does this help you in Internet Marketing? It gives you credibility in your field, which usually results in web traffic. It will also give you some income, but for the most part that should not be the focus of publishing a book (if it is, you may really be let down).

7. Writing Ads. If you get good at writing ads, you can produce excellent results in Pay Per Click search by having compelling calls to action.

8. Email Marketing.
Once you’ve built your list, the simplest way (although maybe not the most effective) to reach your prospects is through email marketing. Who wants to read a poorly written email pitch? (no one).

If you are not writing, I hope this motivates you to start. If you think of any other ways that writing plays a role in effective Internet Marketing, feel free to comment. Also, I would like to invite you to subscribe to this blog if you have not already, to keep up with the latest search marketing musings.
