About

Search Engine Marketing Exposed (formerly known as OldSchoolSEO.com) is the search engine marketing blog for my firm Web Traffic Team, a business dedicated to proving Online Business Development and Internet Marketing Services to both businesses and non-profit organizations.

I am a veteran Search Engine Marketing Consultant (since 1999 - hence the name OldSchoolSEO) and a lifelong entrepreneur. In addition to my many business endeavors, I have launched two Search Marketing Firms; (NSI Partners in 1999 & Web Traffic Team) (officially) in 2006. In addition to running Web Traffic Team, I currently hold an in-house SEM position as a Web Marketing Manager for a small publisher in Phoenix, Arizona.

I stay active on many Search Engine Marketing and Social Media forums and I have authored a book titled Internet Marketing Secrets from the trenches which is an A to Z Guide to Internet Marketing, and it is currently available for free (via download) at http://www.webtrafficteam.com/ebook. It is currently outdated but version 2 is in production and has exponentially more resources and will also be released in print.

On more than one occasion I have been asked if I am the same Anthony Kirlew from the mortgage industry, and I certainly am. I have a team that all of the leads that come to my mortgage web sites, but I will briefly explain how this came to be. In 2003 when I decided to resign from my SEO Company (at the advice of my doctor - I was a workaholic with some looming health issues), I had a non-compete agreement with the company so I had to find something else to do. I knew that no matter what I did, I would succeed in because I had the ability to attract customers online through Search Engine Marketing. I basically asked myself what the hottest industry was, and it was the mortgage industry. I had some previous experience in that field as a former real estate agent, so I jumped right in. It was one of the best decisions I ever made and in my first full year doing that, I nearly tripled my income. During this time, I stayed close to the search marketing industry (behind the scenes) and developed several profitable mortgage and affiliate related web sites. It was a fun ride and I still consult with friends and family, (and even blog) on mortgage and real estate issues.

In 2006, I got married and decided that I wanted some stability in my life so I took on a corporate position as a Search Marketing Analyst; after which I re-emerged as “OldSchool”. In 2007, my wife and I ended up relocating to Arizona unexpectedly, due to some health challenges that she had, and we are now enjoying snow-less winters and lots of sun.

I’d love to help you anyway I can. Feel free to contact me at seo @ oldschoolseo.com

Wishing you the best!

Anthony Kirlew a.k.a. OldSchool
