Unreal statistics. These data collections are always interesting for the simple fact that these data are available because businesses in each market are collecting them to maximize profits on these “high-spending” days.
The superbowl stats aren’t nearly as frightening as Wal-Mart’s leaked data that strawberry pop-tart sales are seven times higher just before a hurricane. The fact that Wal-Mart is actually tracking that kind of data is kind of scary.
O! And you missed the calorie number in the post. (Unless you didn’t post it as a cliffhanger to encourage readers to click through! In that case I might follow that sentence with an ellipse.)
