Affiliate Marketing through Clickbank Just Got Easier

If you sell affiliate products through Clickbank you can now elect to get paid by direct deposit. No more waiting for check and going to the bank to deposit them. I was going to write on this a bit ago when it came back, but today I logged in my business bank account and saw three direct deposits. I figured it was some soft of affiliate marketing revenue, but I just didn’t recall who keynetics was (it’s the parent company for Clickbank). That is one of the greatest parts of making affiliate marketing a part of your Internet Marketing Strategy – you often get checks and don’t know where they came from. A week or so I got a check from a company that didn’t look familiar, but it turns out it was a paper check from a company that I had signed up with several years ago, and put up a simple web site and just left it alone. I never really promoted it, but I did redirect a domain that was in DMOZ to it, so perhaps it will send me checks every month.

If you have incorporated affiliate marketing info your business model, I strongly urge you to. If you don’t know where to start, I encourage you to pick up a copy of The Super Affiliate Handbook, by Rosalind Gardner. It is one of the best books written on the topic of affiliate marketing – if not the best.

If you are an affiliate marketer or have an affiliate program that isn’t , but you are not having the success you want, stay tuned for my upcoming post ony why affiliate marketing doesn’t work for most people. Also, you can pick up a free copy of my ebbok, What The Affiliate Marketing Gurus Don’t Tell You.

Web Traffic Team Now Offers SEM Staffing Services

Companies often don’t know where to turn to when they need Search Marketing Consulting Services, and when the time comes to hire an in-house Search Marketing expert, there seems to be even fewer options. Understanding that consulting services are often out of reach for many small to mid-sized business, Web Traffic Team has launched a staffing division to assist companies in finding the right person to fill those in house positions by analyzing the clients needs and matching those needs with a local Search Marketing Professional.

Many times, employers just don’t know enough about search engine marketing to know what they need. I literally overhead a recruiter once asking questions about the role of “Search Marketing Analysts” in an attempt to secure a contract with a company, and it was pretty clear that she had no idea what she would ask the candidate.

The range of positions we can fill are any where from the most basic (we’ll find you a secretary or customer service rep if you want us to) to the technical (Search Marketing Analysts, PPC Technician, Programmer, etc.) to the Executive Level. Through a strategic partnership with an Executive Staffing Firm, we have a pool of Executives that are ready for their next assignment, and many are ready to invest in the companies that they join.

If you are looking for your next SEM Guru, or Corporate leader, contact Web Traffic Team today to discuss your options. Hold on to your checkbook! You won’t have to write a check up front for the standard 10-30% of the employees annual salary, a benefit which makes our services affordable for nearly every business.

Get Local Exposure for your Website for $1

Have you ever seen those signs at the checkout counters of your local stores where people sponsor a charity? A few days ago I was at a local deli who was supporting MADD by allowing people to pay $1 and write their name on the card that was posted for all to see. I asked if I could put my website instead of my name, and they said “if you pay $1 you can write whatever you want on it.” So now this deli has like 10 different websites posted on the wall (just kidding). But really, I thought of one of our websites that I wanted to promote and just wrote the URL there. I know that lots of people come through this deli every day, so it’s great exposure AND it supports a very worthy cause.

And now you know why “the experts” recommend having a short, dot-com URL. They are easier to remember, and for a promotion such as this, a long URL wouldn’t work so well.

Do You Have These Blogging Frustrations

Have you ever written a blog post and tried to publish it, only to have it erased? Well, it seems to be happening to my wife who is now starting to blog. If any of you read my 2008 New Years Blogging goals, one of them (#12) was to get my wife blogging – yay! So anyhow, this is now the second time she has emailed me with this problem (here is her email from today)

I don’t understand what the HECK is wrong with my blog. I just wrote another post (LONG) and hit save and preview and it is gone. i copied it just in case and now, that is gone…..

PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok, first let me say, my wife is awesome. She’s one of the best people I know and not just because she puts up with me and keeps me in line, but I am blessed to have a woman as awesome as she is. Second, now she can’t be mad at me for posting her email after saying such great things about her (all true).

This happened to me as well in my early blogging days and I used to get frustrated, but now here is what I do.

First, I write my blog posts in notepad and save them.

Second, I copy them to Microsoft Word to use the Spelling and Grammar checker.

THEN, I copy it back to Notepad to get rid of the “Microsoft code” that will appear if you don’t do this. Notepad strips the extra code and allows you to paste pure text into your blogging software.

Happy Blogging!
