One more tip: when you are short of ideas (maybe you were too busy at work to jot them down or fell asleep in a meeting!), surf around, find a blog post with a good idea and improve on it (don't forget to link to them, so they can't say you stole their idea!)

@ Kevin. My advice is to just start. You can't break anything by starting a blog or testing the waters in Social Networks. My only advice is make sure you know (and follow) the rules set forth by whatever social community you get involved with.

One of these days the whole idea of Social networking, RSS feeds will all make sense to me. Particularly, HOW to incorporate for my type of business. Hopefully, by just reading great blogs like this, "it' will happen. And ,then maybe I can begin to tackle your list below beyond the third recommendation::
4. How will they find our web site? -

I can say with confidence that my theme has wow factor. I absolutely love my theme.

I should really sit down and plan my posts though. It does seem to take away from the spontaneity of the creative vein that is all part and parcel of my blog's mission, but hey maybe if I had a list each week of ideas to pull from it would help me stay somewhat focused.

I also do agree about MyBlogLog. I really have come to utilize that site as much as I can. It really is a good spot to track all of the blogs you visit the most to see which one has recent activity.
